I have a private practice offering many subject areas and levels from elementary to adult. My range of in-house services are within a 60 mile radius of my home office. I extend this range through out the United States and Canada with on-line tutoring--tools such as fax, e-mail, chat, VoIP, whiteboard, or by phone.

Here's why you should check out my tutoring site:

I started my tutoring service to help students who seek success outside of the regular classroom.

 I especially want them to:

1. Catch-up on Concepts. Students need to receive a solid base of basics that they missed from earlier grades.
2. Homework Help. Many students want or need a “teacher’s assistant.”
3. Look ahead to upcoming material.

My Commitment

Personal attention and dedication—I get satisfaction from seeing the “light bulb” turn on, and from instilling confidence and passion to explore and learn. I have years of experience in tutoring and three years used to develop the intricate Individual Learning Plans used in special education. (Not special ed certified)
Local and Connected—
I was born and raised in Faribault County, and Freeborn County has become almost a second home to my family and me. I stay in contact with local schools to follow my students’ progress.
Research Oriented—I research materials I myself use or utilize scientifically researched materials.

I've got a blog which I like to keep discussions about education (and communicating general notes).  I used to have a site with MSN, but now using Blogger.  Click the chalkboard below to take you to that site or goto the newsletter tab on the side:

INTERNET SAFETY!!!

In my quest to find materials to educate Teens and tweens on Internet Safety and Security, I found these sites:

www.netsmartz.org

www.netsmartzkids.org   GOOD VIDEOS!

www.NSTeens.org

NOTE:  Though I posted these here NetSmartz in no way endorses my site nor provides any link backs (since that would be WRONG)

Also I may require new students to go through the Internet safety contents, very well organized and reviewed by myself, as set by Yahoo!'s Safely guidelines, as a 1st module (no charge).
